Supply chain from the Southern Hemisphere to the East Coast, Gulf Coast and West Coast of the U.S.
During the past five years, EastCoast Mouldings has literally changed the direction of its mouldings supply chain and, in doing so, designed the most flexible and efficient system for providing mouldings to its customers.
EastCoast Mouldings’ supply chain leverages offshore production with a domestic operation to be the single-source supplier for all the mouldings needs of its customers. Using the latest materials handling strategies and equipment, as well as state-of-the-art logistics management technologies, EastCoast Mouldings has engineered a supply chain that is efficient from manufacturing to delivery.
The industry-leading shift to an east-to-west distribution across the United States starts with the supply of global lumber entering the eastern port of Charleston, South Carolina, and traveling a short distance to the company’s North Carolina manufacturing facilities. In addition, EastCoast Mouldings’ domestically produced hardwood lumber supply is manufactured at the same facility. The company achieves further flexibility with inventory that is managed and maintained near the South Carolina port of entry.
